Interstellar Arc – Passenger FAQo
What is Interstellar Arc?
Interstellar Arc is a never-before-seen, large-scale immersive experience to a distant exoplanet, blending mixed reality, interactive storytelling, and space exploration. Guests depart a 24th-century lunar spaceport located at Area15 - Zone 2: The Terminals, enter cryogenic sleep, and awaken 262 years later as their ship nears its destination. The experience is designed to make visitors feel like they’ve actually lived through an epic journey, not just watched it.
Who created Interstellar Arc?
Interstellar Arc was created by Emmy-winning Felix & Paul Studios, a creative powerhouse renowned for pushing the boundaries of immersive entertainment. Their portfolio spans collaborations with Cirque du Soleil, Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic World team, NASA, and LeBron James. Their Space Explorers: The ISS Experience series is the largest production ever filmed in space and earned them a Primetime Emmy Award.
What makes Interstellar Arc different from other VR experiences?
Most VR experiences are stationary or confined to small movement areas. Interstellar Arc breaks the mold, combining a physical set larger than 4 basketball courts with free-roaming VR that accommodates up to hundreds of visitors per hour. Guests can walk freely through a virtual starship, interact with their group, and capture selfies or photos in VR. Advanced “spatial redirection” techniques make the environment feel infinitely large, creating an experience that’s immersive, social, and unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Is this a video game or a movie?
Interstellar Arc blends the interactive freedom of a video game with the narrative depth and cinematic quality of a film. Guests explore, collect special items, complete achievements, and participate in the story while immersed in the visual and emotional power of cinema.
Are there any cinematic inspirations behind the experience?
Yes. The experience draws inspiration from classic space exploration films and real-life space missions to create a believable and awe-inspiring environment.
Is there a narrative I follow in the experience or is it free exploration?
Travelers follow a structured narrative with key story beats (boarding, cryosleep, Cosmopolis arrival…), while still being able to explore the starship freely between those moments.
